The Minister of Tourism will participate in the XIII edition of the International Forum on Tourism in Adeje (Tenerife)
On the 14th of May will take place the XIII edition of the International Forum on Tourism in Adeje (Tenerife), which will count with the presence of the Spanish Minister of Tourism, Joan Mesquida, who will give the opening conference entitled “Tourism challenges after the crisis”.
The opening ceremony will take place at 9.00 a.m. and it will count with the presence of the Adeje’s major José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, the counsellor of the Tenerife’s Council of Tourism José Manuel Bermúdez, the president of the CajaCanarias bank Alvaro Arvelo, and the president of the “Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque” Francisco José Zamorano.
The counsellor of tourism, Miguel Ángel Santos Cruz, stated in a press release that “the good relationship, cooperation and collaboration between the different administrations and the tourism business community, is making possible the recovery process in a slow but constant way”.
With regards to the forum, the councilman highlighted that “we have been committed to the tourism sector for thirteen years now, not only because it is our economic driving force but because we considered important to create a special area in the council to discuss the matters and issues related to tourism. The International Forum on Tourism it is an invaluable tool because it promotes the debate of important and interesting matters for all of us”.
The councilman also pointed out that the XIII International Forum on Tourism in Adeje is an event organized by the Adeje’s Council and it counts with the sponsorship of Caja Canarias bank, the Government of Canarias, and the Insular Council of Tenerife together with the participation of the “Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque” among others.
“Looking to the Future” will be the slogan of this forum edition, which will have a round table organized by Google about “the hotel or independent hotel chain facing the new distribution scenario”, which will be moderated by Javier González Soria, Managing Director of Google Travel Spain.
Subsequently, the Council of Adeje will offer a round table entitled “how to move forward in hard times: implications and results”, which will be moderated by Vicente Chacón, General Director of Creo Coaching.
Finally, the last round table planned for this XIII edition of the International Forum on Tourism will be the one organized by the “Hotel Gran Bahía del Duque”, which will be entitled “Spanish hotels directors around the world; a different vision on the hostelry in competitive markets”. This round table will be moderated by Francisco Alcaráz, Presidential Counsellor of the Western Islands.
