Tenerife’s Council has put out to tender the remodelling works of the “Mercadillo del Agricultor de Cruz del Cármen”
The Council of Tenerife has invited tenders for the remodelling works of the “Mercadillo del Agricultor de Cruz del Carmen” (Cruz del Cármen Farmers Marketplace) located at the “Parque Rural de Anaga” (Anaga’s Rural Park) in la Laguna municipality. The project counts with a budget of 208,800 euros, and was approved by the council of the island in a meeting held yesterday, presided by the council’s president, Ricardo Melchior.
The project includes the rearrangement of the existing facilities to meet the current needs and demands, and the addition of an extra area to the four existing ones (offices, sale stands, toilets and warehouse).
The construction works consist on the addition of a shop, the redesigning of the warehouse to include the shop’s storage room, and the enlargement of the offices and restrooms. Besides, the roof will receive a water impervious treatment, and the facility will have new exterior openings to make the use of this marketplace possible even in cold and damp weather, which is characteristic of the region.
The remodelling project also includes walls demolition, new walls construction including their coating, marble tiles cover in the toilets, new floors (except form the warehouse), double glazed aluminium openings, new motorized rolling shutters for security protection, and also the renewal of the electric, sanitary and drainage installations as well as new furniture.
On the other hand, the insular government council also approved for a budget of 25,159 euros, the project plan for the recovery of the countryside heritage and the oral traditions to generate another added value in the regions of Las Carboneras and Chinamada in the municipality of La Laguna. This project has been promoted by the management office of the “Parque Rural de Anaga” (Anaga’s Rural Park).
With regards to the tourism area, the insular government council provisory awarded to the company “Creo Coaching” the conduction of a series of training courses for the tourism professionals in the area of Santiago del Teide. This initiative is part of the “Tenerife al Siento x Ciento” project that has as objective to foment a friendly and polite attitude towards tourists, being addressed to employees of transport companies, restaurants, hotels and travel agencies to promote a close up relationship between them and the visitors.
