During the Day in Las Americas

One of the great things about Las Americas is that there is so much to do, both during the day and at night.  For those of you out there that are more inclined to get up in the morning and get out and about and active, we have a few of our favourites here.  If you have experienced something great that doesn´t appear here, and you think it is worth a mention, please let us know by clicking here.

Due to the all year round sunshine, the first mention goes to the beaches!  A visit to one of Las Americas’ beaches can be a very cheap day out if you take everything you need for the day, or you can spoil yourself and be completely pampered at the beach.  It can also be a very lazy day, or you can make it one of the most energetic of your holiday, depending on what you like.  Las Americas is graced with three very nice beaches of its own.  They are all equipped with beds, parasols, toilets, water sports, showers, kiosks, and bars.

Our next mention goes to the excursions in Las Americas.  It is amazing that in such a small area there is so much to do.  There are two water parks in the area, a zoo park, go-karting and quad biking only minutes away, lots of boat excursions, such as Eden Catamaran, that leave from Puerto Colon to see the magnificent whales and dolphins, and an abundance of water sports at its beaches.

Well ladies, we have not forgotten that you may want to indulge in a bit of retail therapy while on holiday, and Las Americas has it all. There is a great selection of shops, from designer shops in the popular Safari center, which also caters for lunchtime wining and dining with its chic, popular restaurants.  If your budget isn´t that expansive, don´t worry, there are also other boutique shops that are a little less pricey in the neighbouring town of Los Cristianos on Avenido de Suecio.

Last but not least eating out is a huge passion in the Canaries, and it shows in the amount of restaurants that line its streets.  Eating is not just about filling yourself up, it is a social event here.  There are so many restaurants that you may find yourself confused, so we have included some of our favourites here so that you have a head start.
