‘Expohostel’ lights its burners
The showground of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will welcome from April 19th the ‘VII Feria Expohostel’ (The VII Expo-hostel Show) which is focused on equipment and services for the hostel industry, and the ‘XV Feria de la Alimentación de Canarias’ (XV Food Show of Canarias) organized by the Centro Internacional de Ferias y Congresos de Tenerife (International Exhibitions and Congress Center of Tenerife). Both exhibitions have joined since the last occasion to celebrate an only event that will present to the visitor everything about the food’s world, services and hostel equipment, at the same time that a special attention will be taken to gastronomy with an intensive programme of activities.
With the objective of making this event more appealing, the Asociación Hotelera y Extra Hotelera de Tenerife (Hotel and Lodging Association of Tenerife) as well as ‘La Palma, La Gomera y El Hierro’ (ASHOTEL), are organizing master classes entitled “Grandes Maestros de la Restauración” (Great Masters of Restoration) where renown chefs from the island and from abroad will interact in several sessions.
Besides, the cheeses master Jonay Escuela and the cuisine teacher of the IES institute of Adeje will be present at this event. This gastronomic class counts with the sponsorship of the Patronato de Turismo de la Gomera (La Gomera Tourism Board).
These selected chefs will elaborate a five course menu consisting on typical and representative specialities of the island such as the ‘almogrote’, palm syrup, and ‘milana’ pie among others. A video about the region of La Gomera will be shown during this lunch as well.
